Plan driveway and garage cameras
Start with the outcome you need: seeing activity, recognizing a vehicle or identifying a person. A wider view and more pixels do not automatically solve every task.
- Add a camera at each useful mounting point and aim it along the driveway or toward the entrance.
- Check daylight and night conditions, headlights, trees, walls and seasonal obstructions.
- Plan a cable route to the recorder or switch. Add allowance for real routes, vertical runs and termination.
- Use notes to record mounting height and the tests you will perform after installation.
